Shipping policy

Overview

This policy describes how SAM Controllers, LLC ("SAM Controllers," "we," "us") of Pittsboro, North Carolina ships physical products ordered from samcontrollers.com. It works alongside our Terms of service and Return and refund policy.

Order processing and lead times

Most in-stock hardware ships within a few business days of a cleared order. Build-to-order and custom-configured products (for example, custom-length sensors, pre-wired configurations, and quoted or Early Access items) ship on the lead time stated on the product page or confirmed in your quote. If a lead time is not shown, contact us for a current estimate before ordering. We will notify you if a lead time changes materially after your order is placed.

Shipping charges

Shipping and handling charges are not included in product prices unless expressly stated at the time of sale. Charges are shown at checkout or stated on your quote or invoice. Purchase-order and freight-collect arrangements are available to approved accounts by prior agreement.

Carriers and destinations

We ship primarily within the United States by common carrier and small-parcel services. International shipments are handled case by case; contact us before ordering so we can confirm carrier options, freight, and any export requirements. The customer is the importer of record for international orders and is responsible for duties, taxes, customs clearance, and compliance with destination-country regulations.

Title and risk of loss

Title and risk of loss pass to the customer upon delivery of the products to the carrier for shipment. Loss or damage that occurs in transit, including on returns, is the customer's responsibility; retain the packaging and contact the carrier and us promptly to support a damage claim.

Delivery estimates and delays

Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only. SAM Controllers is not liable for loss or expense caused by a delay resulting from events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure), including transportation interruptions, material shortages, power failures, labor disputes, government action, or interruption or revocation of export or import licenses. Where delivery is delayed at the customer's request or through the customer's fault, the customer bears the cost and risk of storing the products.

Export compliance

Products and related technical data are supplied for lawful use and are subject to United States export control laws. The customer agrees not to export, re-export, or divert the products contrary to those laws. Country-of-origin and classification information is available on request for products where it applies.

Digital products

Documentation and other digital products are delivered electronically and are not shipped. Access details are provided by email or on the product page after purchase.
