Support
Every SAM Controllers product is supported through our ticket system. Open a ticket with your product, SKU, and a photo of the install or symptom — we typically reply back the same day. Replies come from the team that builds and ships the hardware in Pittsboro, NC.
What a ticket covers
| Ticket type | Best for |
|---|---|
| General support | Install help with photos, documentation requests, compatibility checks |
| Quote / PO request | Volume orders, custom integration, international, draft orders for Net-30 accounts |
| RMA / warranty claim | Replacement parts within warranty, in-warranty repair |
Hours: Monday–Friday, US Eastern Time. Closed on US federal holidays.
Pre-purchase compatibility
Not sure whether a SAM controller will work with your compressor, pump, CNC machine, stove, or OEM line? Open a ticket with the make, model, and photos of the existing wiring or panel, and we’ll confirm fit before you order. If a controller does turn out to be wrong for the install, the standard refund policy applies.
Installation help
Mid-install and something doesn’t match the manual? Open a support ticket with your product, SKU, and a clear photo of the wiring or symptom, and flag it install-blocked — we’ll prioritise it.
Documentation index
Most product pages have a Documentation & warranty block at the bottom with brochure, quick-start, and user-manual PDFs. Direct jumps:
- Compressor Controller (Model R) — Brochure, Quick Start Guide, User Manual, VFD Supplement
- TrueLevel CNC — Owner’s Manual
- Reel Winder 2.22R — User Manual
- Digital Water Pump Controller (OEM) — datasheet
- Sewage Pump Controller (OEM) — datasheet
- Wood Stove & Boiler Controller — datasheet
- PCB Conveyor Controller (OEM) — datasheet
- SAM CAN Bus Wiring Tester — datasheet
- AVR128DB48devCAN (Curiosity Nano) — pinout + getting started
If a document isn’t posted, ask via the contact form — we’ll send it.
Warranty & RMA
- Coverage: 1-year parts and labor from date of purchase on every SAM-branded controller.
- What’s covered: manufacturing defects, component failures within rated specs, factory firmware bugs.
- What’s not: lightning strikes, over-voltage from the supply side, mechanical damage, modifications, abuse.
- Out-of-warranty: replacement parts ship at standard pricing. Ticket-based support continues at no charge for the life of the product.
- To start an RMA: open a ticket with the SKU, order number (if you have it), and a description of the failure. We issue an RMA number and a return label.
Procurement & B2B
- POs accepted on every SKU. Wire transfer, ACH, and Net-30 for approved accounts.
- Volume pricing available — submit quantity and target install date via the request-a-quote form.
- International shipping is case-by-case. Include destination and Incoterm in the quote request.
Common questions
Does any SAM controller need an internet connection?
No. SAM hardware is fully functional offline. There is no cloud service, no monthly fee, and no firmware lock that requires server contact.
What if my install is 230 V single phase or 480 V three phase?
SAM controllers run on low-voltage DC from an included supply (typical input 110–220 VAC). Relay outputs switch the existing motor contactor — the controller does not carry motor current itself, so 230 V 1-phase, 240 V 3-phase, and 480 V 3-phase installs are all fine. Confirm the relay rating against your contactor coil; the User Manual for each product lists the exact relay spec.
How long does a typical install take?
Most pre-wired SAM controllers install in 2–3 hours; component-kit editions run 3–5 hours including bolting the enclosure and mounting sensors. The Quick Start Guide on each product page walks every step.
Can I daisy-chain two Compressor Controllers across multiple compressors?
Yes — the Compressor Controller’s “Compressor City” link ties two units together with a single wire for redundancy or CFM scaling. See the User Manual under the Compressor Controller documentation.
Can I keep my mechanical pressure switch as a fail-safe?
Yes. The Compressor Controller’s relay outputs offer NO and NC contacts; you can wire the mechanical switch in series as an upper-limit fail-safe. Most installs disconnect the mechanical switch entirely once the controller is verified.
Does the VFD edition qualify for utility rebates?
Many U.S. utilities run custom industrial energy-efficiency rebates that cover compressed-air controls. Confirm eligibility with your utility or program ally; the integrated 10 HP VFD pairs cleanly with most rebate programs. The product page links to a utility-rebates lookup and an ROI calculator.
