12A DC H-bridge driver module — compact, OEM-ready

Bidirectional DC drive for prototype motors, actuators, and small reversible loads. Compact form factor scoped specifically for OEM integration where a full motor-driver evaluation board is over-spec'd. Designed and assembled in NC.

What it does

  • Bidirectional DC drive — full H-bridge topology for motor reversal and bidirectional actuator control.
  • 12A continuous rating — covers small DC motors, linear actuators, and reversible solenoids.
  • Compact form factor — sized for OEM integration into a finished product chassis.
  • OEM scope — designed for engineers building a finished controlled product, not a single-board evaluation kit.

Specifications

  • Topology: H-bridge (full bridge, 4-quadrant)
  • Continuous current rating: 12 A DC
  • Application: small DC motor reversal, linear actuator control, bidirectional solenoid / load drive
  • Form factor: compact OEM module
  • Origin: Designed and assembled in Pittsboro, NC
  • Datasheet: full specifications (input voltage, PWM frequency, dimensions, control logic interface) available on request — contact us.

FAQ

Is this a stand-alone driver or does it need a controller?

It's a driver module — pair it with your own controller or microcontroller. PWM and direction inputs are exposed; the controller side is your design.

Will 12A handle my motor?

12A continuous fits most small DC motors and linear actuators. For peak / stall current draw, confirm your motor's locked-rotor spec is within tolerance — contact us with the motor datasheet if in doubt.

Can I use this with our development board?

Yes — the AVR128DB48devCAN dev board exposes the PWM and GPIO needed to drive an external H-bridge. The TCD timer is well-suited to bidirectional motor PWM.
